Hi,
Tonight I was reading an email from my old friend and keyboard player, Claude LeComte.  Along with Tom Larder, Ken Hall, Robin Anderson, Tony Septav and myself, we had a fun little band called the East India Tea Company. There's a photo here:

We played together at the Ottawa Reunion jam along with various members of The Tea Company and my good pal Murray Young from Jennifer's Tribe.. Anyway, in his email Claude was asking about the next reunion and I didn't have a clue, so I started Googling and found this place... and at least a couple names I recognized. Totally cool. Thanks for setting this up, Kim.
My name was (and still is) Doug Grose. I'm in Ottawa. I have a multimedia/web business called The Crayons Interactive.

My brother Don Grose lives near Halifax. My brother Derrick lives in Ottawa. It would be great to hear from any of my old pals.

Claude is a great guy.  We met at the reunion in Ottawa in 2000.

Hello DOUG!

Yes, I do remember, and WOLFGANG (I.F.E. United). Few years ago we were in touch through e-mail and visited your web page and enjoyed the commentaries to the pictures you had posted.

Now I wonder why you had to GOOGLE through the Maze to find the LahrBrats, why didn't you "google" your memory 'cause I remember telling you about Mike McConvey and the LahrBrats.

Anyway, it's good to know you found your way here and I hope you leave a few crumbs before you disappear again to find you easier. Remember FLO&EDDIE and "HappyTogether" (Frank & the Mother's FILLMORE EAST 70/71)

David,
Good to hear from you. Lahr has many great memories for me, both the first time when I lived there and the visit for the reunion and the TV show on SWF. I haven't heard from Wolfgang (Ewald/Ede) Lauer for quite a while. I should call him soon.

I'm afraid that my head is so full of other stuff that the search function in my brain doesn't work nearly as fast as Google does on the internet. I'm moving in a couple of weeks to a new house and while packing I have been going through all the photos and other things from my archives. It has been like a roller-coaster ride through my personal history - at the best of times, a trip down memory lane... at the worst, it's like careening through nightmare alley.

Interesting that you should mention Flo & Eddie - I got an email from Howard Kaylan (Eddie) recently, telling me that his movie, "My Dinner with Jimi" was premiering in Toronto at the beginning of December. It's the story of how The Turtles (with their big hit 'Happy Together') went to England and how they met The Beatles and other famous musicians - in particular, Jimi Hendrix.  For those of us who spent the late 60's and early 70's in Lahr, the film would probably hold a lot of musical memories. I saw it last time I was hanging out with The Turtles in Orlando, and I highly recommend it.
