I just discovered this web site.  It's very cool, thanks to those of you who are responsible Cheesy  My name is Petra ... was Petra Shaddock.  I lived in Lahr from 1974 to 1980.  I went to Lahr Intermediate and Senior School.  I lived in area 31.  I was hoping to connect with somebody who knew me then.  I spent some time looking for anyone that I recognized, but I couldn't find anyone ... I think my memory must be bad or something.  Tongue

Hi Petra,  Welcome!  I'm sure you will find some of your old friends if you hang in there. 

I left Lahr in '74 so we just barely crossed paths.

hmmm..  Petra..  Were you tall for your age back then?  Were you best friends with a girl named Michelle?  The name Petra is relatively rare, so I might actually remember you.

David Kean ... I think I might remember you too.  Were you kinda small for your age?  I had a couple of friends named Michelle ... one was Michelle Dweyer and the other was Michelle (Mitch) Michaelas.  (I'm not sure aout the spelling of that last name.)  We all lived in area 31.  I was a bit tall for my age ... for awhile, until the boys caught up.  Cool  Were you in grade 6 or 7 at Lahr Intermediate?

Yup- I left Lahr in April 76, during Grade 6.  The Michelle I was thinking of was neither of those two (I remember them clearly) but never actually knew the other Michelle's last name.

My grade six teacher was Miss West ... it was an awful year for me, lots of bad memories. Cry  I see that you returned to Lahr in 1978, I was at a private school that year, but I returned to Lahr Senior in 79 and 80.  I was an avid soccar player and I sang in the Red and White review, with my old friend Karen, who I am still in touch with.  Did you take Theatre Arts in grade 9?  How about band class?  Those were my favorite classes.  Grin

I did take theatre arts in 9 and 10, and I took music during lunch for 10 and 11.  That would be me- ever the entertainer.. *snicker, choke*

  Kinda new at this. I had Mr.Readman for grade 5 and Ms(Mrs.) West for grade 6.

My math skills are evading me today, what age were you when in Lahr?  My family also lived in area 31 from about 77 - 80.  My name is Denise and I have a younger sister Jeanette.  Ring any bells?

Hmmm  Ummm...  Denise- Did you have a last name back then?  Most of the Denises that I knew in Lahr had last names.  It helped me to tell them apart. Wink

No last name..kinda like Cher.  LOL

Chartrand is the last name and I had a sister Jeanette and a brother Jeff.  He was a DJ at Peterpans and worked on the base during the week, cant remember where.
